The 20-acre South Lagoon at Wyboston Lakes is an
old gravel workings, and Luton Angling Club has secured the fishing rights to the south end.
There are 25 pegs on the lake, and 15 on the adjoining River Great Ouse. These may
be fished by Luton Angling Club members, on a day ticket at a cost of £4.00 ,
or a dusk till dawn ticket at a cost of £8.00. The lake and the Great Ouse contain
many species of fish - carp to 30lb, pike to 32lb, tench to 8lb, bream to 8lb,
perch to 2lb and roach.
